Following his natural firing from Destruction -- one of Germany's earlier and most popular thrash metallic element bands -- vocalist/bassist Schmier (actual key proscribed Marcel Schirmer) distinct to carry on with a new outfit called Headhunter. Rounded out by guitar player Schmuddel and journeyman drummer Jorg Michael (Stratovarius, Mekong Delta, Grave Digger, etc.) Headhunter released a bit of hyperactive sound metallic element albums that straddled the line between sky and exponent alloy -- to brainpower 1990s Parody of Life, 1992's Another Bizarre Gardening Accident, and 1994's Rebirth. After a quiet period during which he dedicated himself to the eatery he owns in his hometown of Weil am Rhein, Schmier rejoined Destruction in 2000.

The Netherlands' Goddess of Desire commix ‘80's styled lam and power metallic element with over-the-top theatrics (fireworks, Manowar-meets-Gwar costumes and half-clothed edward Young maidens) into what they call ‘Ancient Metal.' No, non kidding. Thankfully, band members Count August (vocals/bass), Grev Drake (guitar) and Emperor Mark (drums) usually manage to back up these shenanigans with identical competent musicianship and extremely potent songwriting. With their exotic dancers, Lilith and Delilah e'er so in tow, the trio released 1997's Let Us Win this War and 1998's Symbol of Triumph in short orderliness, then welcomed second gear guitar player Lord Arydon and new drummer Der Knuppelmeister earlier resuming their call for for world domination (or something like it) via 2002's Conquerors Devine.
